The elegant hotel, just at the end of Ponte Vecchio at the Oltrarno side, was once a part of a cluster of Rossi dwellings. The reconstructed tower, containing stone walls believed to be part of Ponte Vecchio's foundation, is now home to the Pitti Palace's subtly decorated, modern rooms.

The 72 rooms are comfortable and cheerful, and the color scheme was chosen with an eye towards simplicity, linear and practical design. There is ample table space. The windows are large, inviting in the special atmosphere of the Oltrarno (Florence's Left Bank), where the Hotel is situated. The rooms are clean and well-kept. Each room is sound-proofed, air conditioned and contains satellite T.V., fridge, direct outside phone line, a wall safe for valuables, a hair dryer and a bathroom with tub.

The suite is the only of its kind in Florence: it is located on the seventh floor of the Hotel and the guest is treated to a 360° view of Florence and the surrounding hills. The space comprises a small study, a living room with a view of the Pitti Palace, the Boboli Gardens and Santo Spirito. There are two bathrooms as well as a private terrace with a view of the Arno river, the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo (Cathedral) and the Tuscan landscape, which is characterized by the gently rolling hills of Renaissance paintings.
